A morning to calm the mind, relax the body and enjoy the energies of the very ancient Hampton Stone Circle on our South Dorset Ridgeway.

The South Dorset Ridgeway was ritually and culturally important to the people of the Neolithic – Iron Age period. It is often referred to as a ceremonial landscape owing to rare Neolithic earthworks dating from about 3600BC and the large number of later Bronze Age burial mounds. It is considered to have an archaeological significance that is on a par with the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge and Avebury. (source www.dorsetforyou.com/386531)
 This site is dated to around 2200-1400 BC .

We will meet at the centre at 9.30 am for those who would like to car share. Or meet by the barn at the top of Portesham Hill at 10am – signposted West Bexington. The circle is about a 10 minute walk over reasonable ground although good walking shoes and warm comfortable clothing a good idea.

There is no charge for this event – just come and enjoy the meditation, the energies and the wonderful views.
